Kitchen Q&A

Can I substitute the ground pork?

Yes, ground chicken, turkey, or beef work well and lighten the flavor or change the protein profile.

Is it possible to make this vegetarian?

Use plant-based meat and add extra vegetables such as mushrooms or spinach between layers for a meatless version.

What can I serve with this fusion bake?

This dish pairs nicely with crisp green salads, steamed vegetables, or a chilled glass of lager or red wine.

How spicy is this dish?

The heat comes from gochujang and red pepper flakes. Adjust spice levels to your preference by reducing these ingredients.

Can ramen noodles overcook in the oven?

How can I add more vegetables?

Layer sautéed spinach or mushrooms with the noodles and sauces, or mix them into the meat mixture before assembling.
