# What You'll Need:
→ Pudding
01 - 2 cups whole milk
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1/4 cup cornstarch
04 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
05 - 2 large egg yolks
06 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
07 - 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
→ Topping
08 - 10 Oreo cookies, crushed
09 - Whipped cream (optional)
# Method:
01 - In a medium saucepan, whisk together milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt until smooth.
02 - Place over medium heat and whisk constantly until thickened and bubbling, about 5 to 7 minutes.
03 - In a small bowl, whisk egg yolks. Gradually add about 1/2 cup of the hot milk mixture to yolks, whisking continuously.
04 - Pour tempered yolks back into saucepan, whisking constantly. Continue cooking for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened.
05 - Remove saucepan from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract until fully incorporated and smooth.
06 - Pour pudding into serving glasses or bowls. Allow to cool at room temperature for 10 minutes, or refrigerate at least 1 hour if desired.
07 - Before serving, sprinkle crushed Oreos over the pudding and optionally top with whipped cream.
