01 - 20 fresh ripe strawberries, stems attached if possible
→ Chocolate
02 - 7 oz good-quality dark chocolate (60–70% cocoa), chopped
03 - 1.75 oz white chocolate or milk chocolate, chopped (optional, for drizzling)
# Method:
01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Gently wash strawberries and pat dry completely, leaving stems intact.
02 - Place dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Melt using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth and glossy.
03 - Hold each strawberry by the stem and submerge into melted chocolate, coating most of the berry. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
04 - Arrange chocolate-coated strawberries on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
05 - If desired, melt white or milk chocolate and drizzle lightly over coated strawberries for a decorative finish.
06 - Let strawberries rest at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes until chocolate sets, or refrigerate for 15 minutes to expedite setting.
07 - Serve immediately, or refrigerate in a single layer for up to 24 hours.
