02 - Combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
03 - Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil spray if desired for enhanced crispness.
04 - Place apple slices in a single layer within the air fryer basket, working in batches as necessary.
05 - Distribute cinnamon sugar mixture evenly across all apple slices.
06 - Air fry at 350°F for 7 to 8 minutes.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • They come together in 25 minutes with almost zero cleanup, which is honestly the dream on busy weeknights.
  • Your kitchen fills with the smell of cinnamon and caramelized apple, and somehow that alone makes you feel like you've accomplished something.
02 -
  • Slicing thickness matters more than you'd think—anything thicker than 1/8 inch will stay chewy in the middle, and thinner slices can burn before the center dries out.
  • Flipping halfway through is non-negotiable; the side that touches the basket browns faster, so turning them ensures even, golden results on both sides.
03 -
  • Don't walk away during cooking—setting a timer and checking halfway through prevents the heartbreak of burnt chips.
  • If your air fryer tends to cook hot, drop the temperature to 325°F and add a minute or two; every machine has personality.
